Slow-braised pork shoulder with citrus and warm spices, crisped under the broiler and served on warm tortillas with fresh toppings.
Ingredients
- 3 lb pork shoulder
- 1 whole orange
- 2 whole limes
- 5 clove garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 12 whole corn tortillas
- 1 whole white onion
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro
Directions

Cut pork into 2-inch chunks. Season generously with salt.

Place pork in Dutch oven. Add orange juice, lime juice, garlic, cumin, and oregano.

Add water to barely cover. Bring to simmer, then cover and cook 2.5-3 hours until fork-tender.

Remove pork and spread on baking sheet. Shred with two forks.

Broil 5-7 minutes until edges are crispy and golden.

Serve on warm tortillas with diced onion, cilantro, and lime wedges.
